My first Stride & Ride could not have been any better! Everything was so organized and everything was such a huge success. I will DEFINITELY be striding and riding again next year, and I thank everyone at MDA for their hard work!!!

This was our first year to participate in the MDA Stride & Ride. Our two boys, Jonah and Emory, were diagnosed with DMD in December 2008, and our first response of course was devastation, then it  was what can we do. Of course all of our family and friends immediately rallied around us to show us their support. I knew we were loved, but I was overwhelmed by the encouragement and support we received from everyone we know.

We found out about the walk through the MDA web site and soon started to gather a team of walkers, contributors and sponsors, little did we know how easy that would be. Our team this year, the JETS,  consisted of over 100 walkers and we raised upwards of $9,000 for MDA! I'm so excited and proud of all our family and friends. We will definitely be back next year at the Sommet Center to raise more money for camp, research, cures, wheelchairs and much more. Thank you to not only everyone on our team but everyone who raised money for MDA.  Praise God!

"This was our first experience and we totally enjoyed ourselves and are planning on next year."

"The 2007 MDA/Whataburger Stride & Ride was a very special day for me and my Nolan Catholic High School team. It was so fabulous to not only have the support from my extended family, but also to feel the support of the Nolan Community and the whole MDA organization.

When I volunteered for MDA, I attended my first Stride N Ride.  I had so much fun and have never seen an organization do an event like this one.  This was also a chance for the families to fight back and become fundraisers for MDA.   Now our whole region is walking together at Brookfield Zoo, and I CAN'T WAIT!!!
